Panel 1: In front of Viky is a teenage girl making a queen sized bed (she’s folding back the sheets). She’s bent over and hasn’t looked up at Viky yet. She’s wearing tight jeans, a belly t-shirt and a unzipped hoodie. Her hair is pulled back in a pony tail but looks a little unbrushed. We see the master bedroom to the house. It’s not that large with a queen sized bed in the middle. There are two bedside tables with matching lamps. A window frames the wall just above the bedframe. The walls are decorated with framed photographs of people, places, and objects (her husband is a photographer). On one side is a wall of closets with mirrored doors and on the other side is the partially closed door to the bathroom.
    Viky: Oh, hey there, Becky. I didn’t realize you were helping out today.
Panel 2: This is a close-up of the teenage girl’s face and upper body. She’s looked up now and though she doesn’t look startled she looks a little shy and embarrassed, almost uncomfortable.
    Becky: Uhm. . . hi Ms. Williams. I was just. . . leaving. Mr. Williams asked me to clean-up. Really, I’m just about to go.
Panel 3: Viky is bent over awkwardly and reaching down to take off one of her (low) high heel shoes. She’s put he stack of papers down on the corner of the bed and is facing away from Becky.
    Viky: Oh, OK. Well let me pay you. How much do we owe you for tonight.
    Becky: Well. . . uhm. . . Mr. Williams said $200. He called me kinda last minute.
Panel 4: This is a close-up of Vicky’s face. She’s looked up and is a little surprised by the amount.

Viky: Wow. That’s great. I should be a babysitter.

Viky: Now where did I put. . .

Viky: Crap, I left my pocket book downstairs. I’m sure Rich has his wallet-

Panel 5: Here we see Becky sprinting out the door. We can just see the back of her as she leaves.
    Becky: Really, Mr. Williams can pay me next time. Simon and Lisa were great.

Becky: Just great. I really have to go. OKBYENOW!!!

Panel 6: Now Viky sits down at the corner of her bed. She looks down at her hands which are cupped in her lap. Her legs are crossed in front of her and her shoes are off. Her stack of papers is piled next to her.
    Viky: Hmmh. I guess that’s that. Kids these days.

Cap: I was more tired than I thought. Exhausted. I guess I was always tired.   

Rich (off panel): Well look who’s here. . .

    FLUSH!!! (toilet flushing off panel)

KICKSTART JIKOSHIA!

SCC member Emily Gillis has officially launched a Kickstarter campaign in order to fund the first printing of her comic, Jikoshia.  She has until July 1st to raise the $1200 needed for the print run and has already earned 70% of that goal!

The book is set to debut as SPX in September this year with the first four chapters of the comic and unreleased bonus content.  By contributing you can receive not only the book, but also prints, bookmarks, commissions, and more to be announced!  Make sure to check it out and preorder your copy before time runs out!
