SCC Roster

MARK SCHULMAN

Mark Schulman lives in our nation's capitol. He thinks Chris Claremont is a genius, adores Rick Leonardi's carefully crafted panels and wishes everyone appreciated Laura Martin as much as he does. As an aspiring old man he likes rocking chairs, classical music, and cheerleaders. If you happen to have a chocolate cookie he will be your best friend (at least until it's gone).

EMILY GILLIS

Emily resides in the Baltimore area where she works as part of the Wayward Studios team. She began creating comics back in 2000 and hasn't stopped since. She is the mind and pencil behind the webcomic Jikoshia. Check out more of her work at Wayward Studios.

MAURICE HARRINGTON

A lifelong comic fan, Maurice works as both writer and artist for his comics. Hid influences include Grant Morrison, Alan Moore, Peter David, Frank Miller, Jim Lee, Marc Silvestri and many more.

SCOTT KAPTUR

Scott has been drawing for as long as he can remember and comic art has become the primary consumer of his free time. Scott considers himself less of a comic reader and more an appreciator of comics as an art form. He is an avid storyteller, and wants to tell as many stories as possible in his short time on this Earth. His favorite comics artists include J. Scott Campbell, Nate Van Dyke, Joe Sacco and Charles Burns.

CRYSTAL ROLLINS

It began with Sailor Moon and cutting out newspaper strips. Before she knew it, it was webcomics. Crystal absorbed comics as fast as her bandwidth allowed, but one day, the internet demanded a tribute in return. "Give us your stories, or your life is forfeit!" She must now write and draw for eternity or be devoured by the great Art-shoggoth. She currently offers Aspect and Jikoshia to appease Her, but She demands more! Will 'Elementalists' satiate Her? Stay Tuned!

BRIAN SCHILDER

Writing, drawing, and storytelling have all been interests of Brian's since the beginning of time itself. More recently he has started to pursue the creation and publication of his own original comics, a long-time aspiration of his. Brian also enjoys slicing monkey brains as a living.

DESMOND SEYMOUR

Hailing from Florida, Desmond has a unique perspective on comics. His stories tackle class, race, & political issues. Currently, he is developing a graphic novel entitled "Risen" and a number of graphic poetry pieces. Desmond also hosts poetry workshops throughout the DC area.
